Report a Child's Absence
Regular attendance at school promotes pupils' well-being...
...maximises progress in learning and helps pupils reach their potential. The attendance pattern for all children is monitored weekly with the school seeking to work actively with parents to ensure a regular pattern is maintained.
We’re pleased to announce that Albion Primary is introducing a new, more efficient and secure system for reporting your child’s absence due to illness, called Studybugs. This will replace the need to telephone the school, email or register absence on our website when your child is ill.
If you haven’t already, please get the free Studybugs app, or register on the Studybugs website, and use it to tell us whenever your child is ill and unable to attend school.

Top 3 reasons to use Studybugs
1. It’s integrated with our systems so we know right away if your child is unaccounted for.
2. It’s quick and easy to register and use and automatically reminds you to keep us posted. 3. You’ll be helping the NHS and other public health organisations improve children’s health. (https://studybugs.com/about/schools)
Why do we need to improve? Our attendance target is 96%. Reporting absence using the Studybugs app will save time which could be spent supporting families in getting their children into school.
