PE & Sports Grant
The PE and sport premium for primary schools funding is jointly provided by the Department for Education, Health and Culture and Media and Sport.
Money is paid directly to schools, for them to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
Schools must spend the sports funding on improving their provision for PE and sport, whilst having the freedom to decide how they do this.
The £320 million PE and Sport Premium will continue in the 2019 to 2020 academic year, the DfE will publish allocations and guidance later this year.

At Albion Primary School we are committed to promoting the importance of good health and well-being for all our children. We recognise the important role that Physical Education (P.E.) plays and the positive influence that it has on concentration, attitude and the academic achievement of children. It is our aim that all children who leave Albion Primary School do so with the habit of playing and enjoying sports and, the skills, motivation and confidence necessary to equip them for a healthy and happy life.
Furthermore, we commit to ensure that the grant is used to benefit all pupils, regardless of their physical or sporting ability.
