Nursery & Reception Intake 2020
welcome to albion
We aim to provide new families with as much support during covid-19. Please complete Albion Admission Form (Google Form). Further forms relating to your child's admission can be found at the bottom of this page.
We are delighted that your child will be joining Albion Primary School. While we met during your tour of our lovely school, I never would have imagined that we would be planning your child’s transition under these circumstances!
I have no doubt that the impact of COVID-19 on our usual arrangements of starting school may be causing worry and uncertainty for some of you. Please let me assure you that it is a priority for us to make sure that you and your child feel prepared, confident and excited to start at Albion.
Normally we would be inviting you to a parent information morning and arranging a home visit in order for your child to meet their new teacher and answer any questions you may have. However, in line with government guidance, subject to updates and the consideration of the health and safety of our staff we are having to be a bit more creative in our approach to offering you as much of this as possible with social distancing in mind.
We will soon be putting a ‘Starting at Albion’ presentation on to the school’s website which will give you more information on what you and your child can expect when they join us in the next academic year.
We will also be contacting you to arrange a convenient time to have either a phone or video call with your child’s new teacher.
As our plans progress you will be able to find updated information on this dedicated page of our school website for our new starters.
In the meantime, should you have any queries you can contact the school office on 020 7237 3738.
Please try not to worry too much about how our current circumstances may impact on your child starting school. Every child is in a similar position; many will not have accessed preschool/school for a prolonged period of time, and they will all be missing play and the social interactions of others their own age.
Our fantastic team will be very sensitive to this when making plans for their provision when they join us. All children will have a staggered settling in period which will ensure they have the time and space that they need to get used to school life and we will be adapting the curriculum to reflect anything they may have missed whilst their nurseries or preschools have been closed.
Wishing all our new families the very best.
