Magic Breakfast

fuel for school

Albion Primary School joined the Government’s National School Breakfast Programme (NSBP) in December 2018, launching in January 2019. The scheme, currently delivered by the charity Family Action offers bagels and breakfast cereals to schools.

Family Action National School Breakfast Programme

Albion is offering a free bagel to all our children allowing the children to have the right fuel for learning and ensuring that all our children have access to food before they start their action packed school day.

There were a number of different ways to distribute the bagels to the children. We decided the best way to offer our children a bagel was by distributing them during registration in the classroom. This way we ensure that every child at Albion is given additional fuel for learning before they start their day. The nursery children have a bagel during their snack time.

Family Action is committed to supporting child development, and believe a healthy school breakfast, without barrier or stigma, can set up children to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn.
